Regulation. Statute, regulator publications and court rulings first. Where we describe a legal position, it should be traceable to the relevant Act, the regulator’s own material, or a specific decision — not to another affiliate site.
Bonus terms. The operator’s own terms page, read on the date shown on the review. Not the promotional banner, which routinely disagrees with the terms.
Payout performance. Stated terms, our own account activity, and reader reports. We do not have a testing lab and do not claim otherwise.
Helplines. Verified against the operating organisation where possible. Services close and numbers change; if one on our list does not answer, tell us.
Dating and review
Every page carries a last-updated date. Regulation and tax pages also carry a “last reviewed” date, because a page that has not changed is not the same as a page that has been checked.
Gambling regulation in Africa moves fast — Nigeria’s structure changed by court ruling, Ghana’s winnings tax was introduced and then abolished within three years, Kenya’s excise duty has been revised repeatedly. Treat any figure on this site older than a year as needing verification. We say so on the pages themselves rather than only here.
Separation of commercial and editorial
Commission arrangements do not determine scores or ordering. Ratings follow from the published weights. Affiliate links are marked and routed through a redirect that carries rel="sponsored nofollow".

What we will not publish
- Content that implies gambling is a route to income
- Bonus headlines without the wagering, expiry and cap conditions attached
- Anything styled or placed to reach people under the legal age in their country
- Casino recommendations for markets where residents have no legal option
- Fabricated statistics. If we do not have a number, we say we do not have it.
On that last point: the previous version of this site claimed “helping players for 30 years” and “1m+ players per week”. Neither was true. They are gone, and we are not replacing them with different unverifiable numbers.
Corrections
Errors get fixed and dated. Substantive corrections — a legal position we described wrongly, a bonus term we got backwards — are noted on the page rather than quietly edited.

Responsible gambling
Every page carries an age notice and a link to support. Our safer gambling section is maintained as real content, not a compliance box — it is where we would want a friend to land.
We would rather lose a conversion than contribute to someone’s harm. That is easy to write and harder to hold to, so it is written here where it can be checked against what we actually publish.
